TOLL HOUSE COOKIES
1 cup butter (softened)
3/4cup granulated sugar
3/4cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2-1/2cups flour
1tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1tsp vanilla extract
2cups chocolate chips
1/2cup nuts (optional)
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, bround sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoon onto un-greased baking sheet.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 9 to 11 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on pan before removing to wire rack.

Yield: approximately 5 dozen.
